Clarrie Blackburn is now being tutored by Alec Pooley. The latter intends to devote all his energies m getting rid of the openness of the style of Blackburn and when he does accomplish this he says that Blackburn will be a flrst-flighter, as he is a game and forceful fighter. Larry Lasher is training hard at the Parnell gym for his fight with Clarrie Blackburn and he says that the fans will get their moneys worth. Harry Hudson has been m active work for over two months and he ia ready to fight any feather m the Dominion at a week's notice. Fred Craig is asking for a fight with any welter. He is very well and his trainer. Alec Pooley, says he would be a good match for Harry May or Jock Graham. Craig does not want a big purse, but he does ask for the chance to exhibit his wares, and any association putting him on will get a good show. The N.8.A., having secured the removal of the ban against the use of the Town Ha.ll, is now looking round for a suitable flght for its patrons. Harry Hudson, who is asking for any feather m the land, comes from Sydney and has only had one fight here. He got what a lot of people think was a bad decision when he went under to Mike Flynn at Hamilton. Hudson is a heady fighter and has had. a lot of experience at the Stadium, where he was always one of the prelim, boys. Jim O'Sullivan has done a hard preparation for his fight with Tom Heeney at Palmerston North on Boxing Night. If he is beaten it will not be for want of condition. Those who have seen him spar say he ia exhibiting more pace than was his wont m the past, and the utmost confidence prevails throughout the stables as to the result.
