There were some good school athletic sports on Wednesday last, two records being broken. R. C. Morgan, a younge,r brother of the Otago sprint champion and All Black footballer, won the senior championship for tho third time In succession. His- best- efforts wore: 100 yds, 10 3-ssec; 220 yds (against slight breeze), 25sec; 440 yds (In which he ran the last furlong on his own), 55% sec; long jump, 20ft lin; high Jump, 4ft llin; 120 yds hurdles, 17sec (a record). In winning the 120 yds hurdles Morgan, broke the record held by J. N. Mlllard, now of Wellington College. Last year Morgan and A, Q Harrington lowered Millard's 100 yds record to 10 I-Seec, Morgan did thy 220 yds m 23 l-Saec, and did 21ft m the long jump— Mlllard'3 record }s 2!! ft. Morgan has . competed m open races against the best pros. Jn the province, and holds several Sliefilelds.

The junior (under 15) champion of the Boys' High School was M. McCurdy, who broke the Junior high jump record with a leap of 4ft 9in. He did 16ft 10in In the long jump. lie looks tin athlete, and shows promise of developing into a great high jumpar. The winner of the Todd medal (for most points m running handicap events) at the Boys' High School sports waa B. Qeddes, a son of Mr. Arthur Geddeu, the ex-president of the New Zealand Rugby Union and Southland's football selector. Young Qeddes's boat performance wus m the 440 yds handicap, which ho won off 10 yards hi 54 J5-ssoo.

The Boys' High School was well supplied with efficient timekeepers, thrw of those holding the watches being tho ofneial timekeepers of the Invercargili Amateur Athletic Club.
