A GRIEVANCE.
Dear "Truth,*'— l have a report or complaint to make, and' would very much like your paper to take it up. The matter is concerning the Nelson Repatriation secretary and the manner m which returned men are treated; also concerning the secretary of the Patriotic Society. Thore are returned men m Nels6n who saw a great deal of* early service at the front.. The 9ecretary\ of the Repatriation Board la not an early bird, and is at the present time holding i?iree positions, as follow: — Secretary of Returned Soldiers' Association, secretary ' Repatriation, and secretary of the Nelson Rugby Union. Concerning the Repatriation there is a returned man 'who was assisted oy their department with a motor car for the purpose of earning an honest living. Out. of £300, fqr which the car was purchased, £BT.is the balance owing. Things came very hard against this man through bad ; luck. He has been left alone with one child to (battle for, and last week the department seized *he car as the result of its own fault. Ndw, coming to the Patriotic Society: There are soldiers here married, with families, and they are out of v ork. There is at present over £24,,000 held up here for the soldiers' cause, but nothing can be got.— l ! am. et:.. RETURNED SOLDIER.
