SEQUAH.
Large attendances have been the order of the day at the Sequah lectures, which have been held throughout the week m an open building at the foot of Taranaki Street. Sequah makes it plain that he claims no special attributes as a faith-healer, clairvoyant, magician, miracle-man — or, indeed, to possess any supernatural powers. His treatment, on the contrary, is one of simple vegetable preparations properly prescribed m accordance, with the nature of the com-: plaint to be treated. Nor does he profess that his medicines will cure every case of suffering-. He frankly admitted this to those who came to him for healing 1 with complaints that were outside the confines of . his cures. Those who cannot come to him he is prepared to send for at his own expense, and lie asks no payments from those who are unable to pay, as he is Independent of the sale of his preparations. He will not treat anybody privately — all his treatments are given openly and he courts the fullest publicity. His preparations can be obtained only at his own office. After making this explanation Sequah proceeded to demonstrate his treatment practically on several obstinate patients with results that were satisfactory alike to himself, the patients, and the audience. Further demonstrations are to be given nightly.
