ADAMS LTD. ANNOUNCE A £6 REDUCTION ON BATTERIES.

• Adams Ltd believe that it is good policy to bring the prices of motorcars and accessories as low a.s possible, since the lower th© price the bigger the turnover. They have already given the public the benefit, of the reduced price of raw materials, the more faA'orable American exchange and the lower freights m respect to Studebaker motor-cars. They now announce a very large reduction m the price of motor-car batteries. In this case the policy of lower prices is helpful by the fact that from June 1-last the duty on batteries imported from America was reduced from 30 per cent, to 10 percent. Adams Ltd. got ready for that reduction by clearing 1 all old stocks and arranging for large shipments to arrive as soon as possible after May. 31. They have received ex Romeo ji large shipment of "U.S.L." • batteries, the battery which Adams Ltd._recommend for use with Stu'debaker cSrs, and which they believe to be the best which can be obtained. They now offer these reliable and stoutly-constructed batteries at prices which make it cheaper to buy a new' battery than to have an old one repaired. The extent of the reductions, compared with prices previously ruling-, when materials, freights, exchange: rate, and duty were all considerably higher, is indicated m respect of batteries suited to the leading makes of American cars, as follows: Economy Light Six, Studebaker, reduced from £15 10s to £9 10s; all other Studebaker models, reduced from £16 10s to £10 10s.
