Joicey, and being considered too small for racing, was sent to Ireland, where Mr. Parr picked her up for something like -£25. bred from her has been a good winner, generally after passing two years of age. She has not been mated with expensive sires, but so long as the male line represented St. Simon the produce was certain to win. She produced Silver Ring, the steeplechaser; Silver Image, who got fourth m the City and Suburban after losing many lengths a,t the start; Silver. Jug, sold for a big sum to India; Silver Balm; Silver Bridge, winner of the Newbury Cup ; and Silver Urn.
