Fop Five Words Only.

Forty pounds for five words is a prize worth winning; especially when the entrance fee^is but' one shilling* This, m short, sums' up the Put and Take competition outlined m the advertisement appearing m this issue. The question to be answered is a splendid one. It is "How Can I Do Good?" This is a phrase that should commend itself to. all thinking people, for it is full of possibilities. For instance, there are. humerous (ways m which one can do good, and to suni up the idea m; five words only should not be. a very difficult task, although perhaps to be the winning one may require some considerable forethought. The competition will be judgd purely and simply on the most meritorious and slcilfui answers. One answer for one shilling, three for half -a- crown, and seven for five shillings, are the only conditions required to be fulfilled by the competitor. Entries should be posted to the secretary, Great. Skill Contest, Box, 377, Wangauni, not later than Tuesday next, 18th inst. The total prize money offered amounts to £55, which will be well worth winning.*

REASONS Wfi? STUDEBAKER CARS HAVE BEEN FURTHER REDUCED IN PRICE. Adams, Limited, the New Zealand Agents for STUDEBAKER Cars, have pleasure m announcing a further reduction m the prices of these immensely popular "SIX"-Cylinder Motor-cars.

Such redactions have been made possible by a further falling m the prices of raw materials m America, reductions m freight rates, and continued improvement m exchange.

It has been ithe policy of Adams, Limited, at all times, to give the, public the ibenefit of such savings at the earliest possible date.

For instance, they were selling the Economy: Light "SIX"' STUDEBAKER Touring Car at £675 a year ago. The price was subsequntly reduced to £595, and later still, to £550, The u pricd is now further arid substantially reduced; to, £495. This is precisely the price that was charged some years ago for the STUDEBAKER Light Four, when it was first introduced.

It is a striking example of automobile manufacturing methods m the STUDEBAKER Factories that it. is now possible* to offer the vastly, more meritorious Economy Light "SDC"Cylihder STUBEBAKER Touring Car, 1922 Model, at the same price as the STUDEBAKER Light "POUR"— now discarded m favour of the Light vsiX."

Other STUDEBAKER Models have shared m these successive reductions. The STUDEBAKER Special "SIX," for example, iwks sold at; one time at £775. It (was reduced to £725, and then to £695. Tp-day, ; a. reduction to £645 is announced. No better car was ever

made by STUDEBAKER'S and at the new price of £645, no car can beat it for comfort, -horse -power, appearance, or value for money. . .. . About a year ago, the price of the' STUDEBAKER Big - "SIX," which is claimed as the. world's very best 7-.-seater car— was £895. This price was reduced to £845, and thereto". £795;;-To-day a reduction is announced to £745, at which price the most handsome,' tnost reliable : and 'most sturdy ■ Touring-car ever produced: is brought • within the reach of all who : 'require; a high-powered car either for pleasuredriving or for public service -iwiork.

These reductions bring the prices of STUDEBAKER Cars back to their level before the War boom— the goal of all^traders who rtiave realised as .Adams, Limited, have done, .that high prices retard trade.- r
