BREACH OF PROBATION.

• A youth named Leslie Noonrtn, who had got into trouble through signing Somebody's name without authority, was brought up for breaking the conditions of his probation. He was allowed to go into the country, to get work, but failed to report to the pro- , bation officer, or pay instalments of money by way of restitution. He had como back to the city and put up at a hotel under the name of Gray. He said he had intended calling on the probation officer and paying up. For tiot doing so sooner he <was fined 40s.
