When next Askari races It will be as a gelding. Henry Clay is now racing over hurdles m Western Australia. Diavolo Is now a cot case and Is not likely to race again for some time. Humbug is to make' his first appearance as a three-year-old m the Hawke's Bay Guineas. Of the two-year-olds so far tried by J. H. Jefferd, the full-sister to Humbug is easily the best. Jolly Cove is to be tried over hurdles. Tn his schooling tasks the Hymettus gelding has shaped well, Sunart, who has been held up at Riccarton since the Royal meeting, is now located m his new quarters at Woodvine. While being hunted at Dannevirke fast week, Better .Luck got a bad full and his owner <v7io was riding him received a severe shaking. All Talk looks a picture Just now but his fencing leaves a lot to be desired. One of his knees shows signs of having received a knock. Gasbag and Vagabond are m regular work at their owners private track at Ngatarawa. The pair will be raced at the coming Marton meeting.
