ASSISTANCE TO A.I.F. DEPENDANTS.
The Australian Imperial -Force Canteens Funds Trust proposes to provide assistance and benefits to widows, orphans, widowed mothers and other immediate dependants of deceased soldiers, and to seriously disabled "soldiers of the Australian Imperial Force. The funds consist of surplus money resulting from the A.I.F. canteens trading during the war, and amount to about £500,000. The benefits will be extended only to claimants m the above classes who are m real need of assistance. Any person desiring to make- a claim on the funds should communicate with the District Repatriation Officer at Auckland, Wellington, Chrlstcluirch, or Dunedin, to whom full instructions hilve been issued.
