THE THINNEST MAN.
There have been long and short and thick and thin boxers m the ring, but most people who saw Shadow Maber m the ring years ago would give him the palm for thinness. A well-known Sydney writer, however, has found a new aspirant for the "thinnest man" honors. Al White, who recently defeated Theo Green, is claimed to be the thinnest boxer ever seen m the Australian ring. Of White it is stated: "His length withr out breadth (Euclid's definition of a line), however, notwithstanding, is chockful of resistance, thanks to his skill m moving. He also has it m him to face an 'onslaught, and keep with it m an astonishing manner. Where these attributes are stowed, goodness only knows. There does not seem to be a bit more than enough room In him to keep body and soul together. Yet men of White's stamp often outlast those of much sturdier mould. Shadow Maber, m America now, is said to weigh fourteen or fifteen stone. This being so, there is still the possibility of a ponderous Al White."
