TOILERS TRIBUTE TO "TRUTH."

Dear "Truth,"— £, and my mates, 'Who comprise & small gang' of twelve men, all working plugs thoroughly alive to the present system 7 of capitalist graft and exploitation, and knowing something of the "Martyr- , dom of Man," . are versed sufficiently m v the study of Marxian economics to be able to see through the skin game of the bosses to keep up the plugs and builocking for them. We are alive to neariy all of the capitalistic little de-, vious ways to pull the wool over our. eyes, and quite understand the motive for the inauguration of, the "Workers' Educational (?) Association." We all .-'■ have perused with avidity- the letters that have appeared^ m your paper for a considerable period upon economic' fallacies and more scientific methods of industrial organisation and the use of direct action, We are completely m agreement with the various writers' remarks and conclusions and look forward to the near future when the workers of Noo Zee will have* the enlightenment and determination to organise upon more ; up-to-date and scientific lines. We desire to extend to "Truth" our most hearty congratulations for publishing . the 1 instructive epistles and especially the letter, upon the "Workers' Educational Association" m your, issue of the 16th ult. - It is a "hummer," and dissects m a masterly fashion that, pernicious side--tracking and .chloroforming party. A number of the gang, including myself, are but lately out from "Hengland," ■which we left for our own good. The W.E.A. Is g*oing'ln full blast m "Hengland," working "overtime m the bosses interests, and, sad to relate, lias large numbers of working stiffs by the ears. The prime movex*s of the W.E.A. (the bosses) are ably assisted there, by a crowd of sycophantic, oleaginous, selfseekers. These harpies are treacherously leading their workmate dupes to the mental slaughter, bound hand foot (m mental sense) to their exploiters. We have been waiting for a considerable time to see tho WJE.A. ond its pannikin bosses exposed, and viewed with great delight the article m your journal. "Truth" deserves much credit for permitting an exposure m ■ its columns of labor harpies who exercise a good deal of influence among the toilers, who still vainly support them In the. hope of some good resulting from their efforts. Vain hope. Most

of these bogus labor leaders are but worming their oDy way into the bosses' favor, to the end that they will be allowed to screw themselves into the soft seats of the mighty — Parliament. But the workers are getting wise to the little, skinning game of capitalism. The treachery of the bulk of the Labor Party of Australia over a period of twenty years, culminating m its dirty work of the attempted foisting of "Conscription" upon the toilers of sunny Australia and their hounding of active trade uniqnists; the spectacle of the political leaders, many of them dragged from the gutter and given lucrative billets , by the toilers, turning upon their benefactors and stumping the country vilifying active men m the Labor movement, has opened the eyes of thousands of working men to their little game. The tremendous taxation that will ensue after the war, with its lowering of the toilers' standard of/ living, and the social changes, already m preparation that -will be imposed by the ruling classes to keep the.workers m subjection for their further and progressive enslavement, will so tear away the social veil of hypocrisy and veneer that the hideous mockery and rapacious nature of capitalism -will be exposed at last to alL— -Yours, eta, - THOMAS. S.pIXON.i
