Since the Northern meeting the Spalpeen gelding has done well m his work and though he looks to have all the weight he is entitled to, It would be hard to pick one to beat him. W. Mobberley has ; worked an improvement m . Silver Lupin and -the gelding is being sot for a race at the Pakuranga Hunt meeting. , T. Cotton is back m Auckland after a long absence and will start training again as of yore, ( Tact looks to havo wintered well.
