" Cabiria."

Three hundred years before the dawn of Christianity there was such another clash of Empires for the leadership of the world, even as is taking place to-day m Europe. Carthage, rich and mighty, armed with all the resources of science and wizardry, i equipped with a mighty army, a great war chief, and the will-to-power, determined to sweep Rome from the leadership of the world and the overlording of the sea. The famous Punic Wars followed, which ended m the complete overthrow and destruction of Carthage, the ancient counterpart of modern Germany, and the triumph of Rome, which then stood where Great Britain stands now. It is with this ancient Armageddon and with the lives and times of those early peoples that "Cabiria," the wonderfilm which will bo presented at The King's on Monday, deals. The Itala Film Company commissioned Gabriela d'Annunzio, Italy's 1 national poet, to write tho scenario, and then a mighty army of actors and actresses, mechanics and artificers, spent two years of hard work m evolving the mighty spectacular drama. "Cabiria" haa been a tremendous boom In the old world and America wherever shown, and appears to really merit tho press puffs and advance eulogies lavished on it. "Cabiria" will alao be shown at the Star Theatre, Now town, on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings.
