In 1908, sho legally separated from him, but after throe months he pleaded for her to return, saying ho would treat her belter. Ho then used to atop her In tho street, and on ono occasion, ho struck her m public; Aftor six months ho pleaded for another chanco and she gavo it to him. Petitioner's sister stated sho resided with tho parties for live years, and during that tim* ho nearly always camo home drunk, using bud languago and assaulting hla wife.
