With the object of raising a noteworthy donation towards assisting ths distressed Belgians, a committee has been set up m Chrlstchureh to conduct a ballot, with tickets purchaseablo at 2d each, for the selection of a Queen for the forthcoming Belgian Carnival.

Altogether thero ure twolvo ladies, young or otherwlno, nominated for the contest and all are receiving the support of those whom their respective committees can induce' to purchase tickets, so that the comraltteo which sells tho most tickets, places its Queen at tho top of the poll.
