AUCKLAND PROVINCIAL CHAMPIONSHIPS.

The Auckland amateur provincial championships are set down for decision at the Auckland Town Hall on Monday and Tuesday evenings next, and, m view of the record entries received, it is expected that the programme on each evening will be a big one. " The best amateur talent of the province has been nominated, and it can be reckoned on that each lad will be a trier, because there is a trip to Wanganui sticking out, while the New Zealand champions will have a trip to Brisbane to look forward to. On Monday evening the ball will be set rolling at eight o'clock, and it can be confidently stated that there will not be a dull moment the whole evening. On the second night, proceedings will commence at 7.45, as the committee want to get home some time m the morning. * Perhaps a reminder is necessary that there will be no professional contest on Tuesday evening., The cause of this is.
