Nation) writes to us: — "I am glad to nnd that Melbourne 'Truth* has dug; Charles Bailey's grave, by exposing: hl» dishonesty and porfldiousnesß, not only towards his friends, but hits w*fe and daughter. One wishes he could be "drummed out of the regiment," but he was never m it, though he received a great deal of sympathy and assistance from the rank and fllo of Spiritualists, who be'Heved )ilm to bo a truthful man. He has served Mr. Stanford most deceitfully, for that gentleman lifted him i from poverty, provided him and his | wife with a comfortable homo, and paid him a good salary, In order that ho (Bailey) should not be troubled with any business oares. The fable of the viper that stung the bosom that warmed It back to life has a strong application to Bailey and his treatment of hlu friend Stanford. "Splr'tuallsts generally will be glad to learn that Bailey has been nailed down by the evidence of his own wife. Grave doubts have uriseh m the minds of many concerning tho genuineness of some of'Balley's doings, but the law of libel and the lack of damning evldonco compelled a shut mouth. In all the alleged exposures of tho post there have beon missing links. However, Mel* bourne 'Truth* hus done us good service, and also yourself. "f have posted copies of your issue to the gentlemen to whom Bailey is going m Scotland, unil to the principal Bpiritualistlc papors m England, I will post them to tho United States as well. The New Zealand publication, 'The Message of Life,' which is posted to several American and foreign places, will do Its duty In reflecting the light upon Bailoy's career."
