THE STOREMEN SIDE-STEP.
Federationists who ar» Not \\fall "Fed."
The stoi*emeri held a special meet* ing on Tuesday evening following the stop-work meeting which led to the victimisation of several members of the union, when it was decided ' not to respond at present to the call 'J to "down tools." It was thought 1 by a majority present that, as the I union was small m membership, ;<£ $ recent birth, ,> and composed chiefly of men who had not hitherto been members of trades unions, it would not be m the best interests of their own union to come out on strike, and could scarcely benefit the Waterside Workers m their struggle. A special meeting has been cabled for next - Wednesday to consider the cases of k those members who have been vie- L timised, failing the* secretary getting the men 'reinstated- m the in* terim. - -
