The Manawatu "Herald" lias been shown, a prodigious 'soft? egg which was laid by a brown Leghorn hen at Moutoa. In size it resembles a goose egg, and without the shell about the same weight. On breaking it open it contained another ordinary sized egg. Glorious tidings ! That egg should be kept for the next elections.
