COLOSSEUM.
Fnllers'.
The Biograph has a considerable . advantage over mere stage appliances, . m the production of an opera. Take "Faust," for instance. The aged reprobate, who sells his soul to Satan for two years- of youth and a . good time, changes his character miraculously and on the instant. No . matter how perfect the mechanical appliances may be m ordinary opera the vision of a bearded mask and robe is seen flying into the wings when Uie young cavalier stands m tht place of the hoary ancient. With the cinematograph the patriarch disappears and the youth grows m his place simultaneously, and old Nick can appear through the solid wall, with the aid of the machine. •'Faust' 1 has been a feature of Fuller's show at the Colosseum, where a strong orchestra giF,es the representation an operatic flavor.
