\ Wharf Workers and the Wanaka. Though the cases arising out of thej .recent strike of wharf workers,, 49 ofr - 'whom are *° -"b* prosecuted for having: unlawfully ceased work w,nen discharging the steamer Wanaka on February 2B last, '/were not on the Wellington court list , last Friday, Mr C. E. Aldridge, of the-, •Labor Department, appeared, and asked for an adjournment of the cases. Mr Aldridge intimated that the Labor Department were not yet ready to. prosecute and it had been unable to serve allvfche defendants, who were of no fixed.*; .place of abode, and, further, he sought the., 'permission of Mr Raselden to serve the> summonses at the office of the Wharf Laborers' Union.
