TRICKY TRICKETT.

THE AGENT IN DEFENCE.

Mr Trickett, tlio. liouso ; and land agent, who, last week, was, m

"Truth," taken to task over ■ the allegation that he toad twice received 17/ for the rent of a house m South Road, has given what^hc declares to be 'the. correct story. He admits that 17/ was obtained from . the individual, who told his story m his office, and, moreover, he admits that that individual returned . the key of the house and declared that he would, not take it, and that he demanded the 17/ back, which was not returned to him. There were several persons after tli© said house, ' and a few days later it was taken by a tenant, who paid down the 17/. Then 12/ was returned to the "Truth's" informant, 5/ t>'eim>g deducted, a s the landlord had to be considered. However, Mr Trickett did not get a receipt for the 12/, as any ordinary business man would certainly ,do. He denies that he kept the 17/\ and "Truth" publishes his denial with pleasure. It is only too willing to give the two sides of every story.
