Sir,— l was pleased to notice that you commented on the practice of the cook from Government House competwi'g for casual work agaihst the workers who depend, on that sort of work for their living. But you went scarcely far ■ enough, sir. Not only was the cook from Government House engaged, but the butler and three footmen also assisted at the reoent naval ball.
