Mr T. A. Wills, of Hankey-street, has purchased the business of T. Bailey, of Karori, and Mr H. Robberts, who is a skilled painter and decorator, will manage this branch of Mr Wells business. ■' Mr W.. Redmond, long associated wiith the Island Bay Hotel, has taken the Grand National Hotel at Petone. Mr Redmond's long experience will be an assurance that his customers will have every attention paid to their needs. There will be several necessary alterations made at once to meet the increasing traffic, local and travelling. The Swift Pork Butchery recently opened at the corner of Cuba and Vivian^streets has already had very encouraging evidence that they were wanted m the neighborhood. The proprietors are thorough tradesmen, and the stuff supplied is of the first quality. People requiring eggs, poultry or cooked ham for their Sunday meal are especially urged to try the new firm. . Mr Henry Goodwin has just taken over the Cambridge Hotel long associated with the name of Mr J. J. Firth and is now going at top. Mr Goodwin has had a long experience of the trade, bavins: been m the Lane-ham m Mangaweka— one of the most comfortable m the North Island—and the Railway Hotel at Pleasant Point. Mr John McDonald, late of the Royal Oak, is m charge of the bar, and needless to add he will extend his usual courtesy to al! who visit the Cambridge Hotel,
