As the sun rose higher m the clear blue sky and spread his warm rays along the coast, something which - had been^ attached to a piece of wreckage, which had been tossed clear of the hungry sea, moved. The man was Harry West, once second mate, and now the sole survivor from the Wrecked vessel, and that is how our hero became- cast away on Eraser Island.
