A modern Diogenes, named Lambert, who was found in a tub, appeared at the Gateshead. England, Court recently. He was charged with having been found mi enclosed premises. A witness said when he went into his backyard one afternoon he found Lambert hiding in a “poss-tub.” He also discovered that an attempt had heen made to force a window with a shovel and a piece of iron. Lambert was ,fined £3.
