DEAN INGE’S GOOD STORY
Dean Inge, of St. Paul’s, the famous "gloomy dean/* who went on a lecture tour to America recently, brought back this clerical gem: A man, quite tipsy. sagged down on the lobbv lounge before o dignified clergyman. “Thislis fine hotel,” he began. ,r Yes, T find it very comfortable.” "Whatia say to having a drink?” asked the bibulous one genially. The clergyman's face, sot scverelv. "No thank you, I never touch t.ho viJe stuff.”
‘ Shay,” exclaimed the other, "whatjn giving me? You gotcha collar on backwards now!”
