ACCIDENT TO A STATUE
A bronze statue of Sir Robert Peel in Victoria Square, Birmingham, was knocked off its' pedestal lately by a lamp standard . which had been upset by a motor-lorry. The statue, designed by Mr Peter Hollins at a cost of £2OOO, was not badly damaged.
