LATEST CABLES FROM LONDON “MARKET HAS UPWARD Tendency.”
The New Zealand Dairy Produce Board has received the following cable from the London office of the board, dated December 24th, 1926: Butter. —New. Zealand .finest 1745, first grade 1725, unsalted 182 s. Market firm with upward tendency. Little d© id and meantime for stored butters. Australian 1645, 170 s; Canadian, 1645, 16os; Argentine, 154|. 160 s; Dutch, 180 s, 184 s; Danish, li3s, 182 s. Betail prices unchanged. Good demand anticipated after Christmas. France: Market unchanged. _ Cheese—New Zealand white and coloured, finest, 965; first grade, Bos. Canadian white and coloured finest, 945, 965; exceptional, 98s. Market quiet, little demand at moment. Re* tail prices unchanged. . The board has since received a cable from London, dated December 28th, 1920, stating that cheese prices have been reduced by 2s. . .. The board has also received the following cable advice from its agents in Canada:—Butter; Vancouver, 44 cents (Is lOd); ’Frisco. CO cents (2s Id); New York, 52 cents (2s 2d); Montreal, 40 cents (Is 8d).
