COLSTON Once a ss case DOCTOR’S REPORT 3rd January. 3923 ’* In 19121 made a report on the case of Cyril D. Colston, then of 13, Stoney Lane, SparkbrOQk, Birmingham, as being a very striking example of the beneficial effects of VIROL in certain forms of malnutrition in children. Some rather remarkable photographs showing the boy ‘before* and * after * the addition of- VIROL to his diet accompanied the report. Having regard to the very extraordinary condition of extreme emaciation shown in the ’before* photograph, it is of considerable interest to find that, at the age of 18, he is a normal healthy young adult, showing no trace of the period of strain to which his organism must have been sub- ' jected at the time of his illness at the age of #. An Extraordinary Recovery " I enclose recent photographs for your inspection. - It is to be noted that he is of average build and that his muscnlar system is well developed. He is mentally alert and his school life was quite normal. Hit gained several distinctions in athletics, and for one, the swimming championship ,pf his school. He is now engaged In the business of watchmaking, and is, ■! understand, a clever workman. 'Nothing Jess than a miracle* *’ I need hardly say that his parents are highly delighted with the result, which they describe as nothing less than a miracle. "From a medical point of view the ease has been of considerable interest to me. lam fully satisfied that VIROL was the factor which enabled him as a. child not only to ton the corner successfully in a very serious iiinegjk, but in subsequent years erf develop* ment (daring which he never censed to take VIROL), enabled him to build up a healthy body anjl gave him a reserve of power and energy sufficient to compete successfully in athletics end to wm a swimming championship-” ISifned) ... vM.D. VIROL School Children need VIROL . j given • because growing tissues., Aor hts * WRIGHT.
