Dll EBICRTH DEAD. . Australian' ami N.Z. Cablo Association. BERLIN, December 3. The death is announced of Karl Ebertli, discoverer of typhus bacillus. The late Dr Karl Eberth is famous as one of tho medical scientists who was Kiiccessful in isolating the bacillus which causes typhoid fever. After exhaustive research work he announced his discovery in 1880, another scientist in Herr Kicks corroborating his finding the same year; two years later Dr Conts gave further support. Since the period of his discovery. Dr Kberlli lias devoted a great ileal of his time to research work in connection with remedies for the disease, and has written exhaustively on the subject.
