WELLINGTON S NARROW WIN COLTS SHOW PROMISING FORM HOLLINGS’ GOOD DISPLAYS Bright cricket, with plenty of excitement towards the finishing stages, was provided in the Wellington versus Colts match at the Basin Reserve yesterday. Wellington won by 16 runs on the first innings. Wellington, who were skippered ty H. M. McGirr, took the opening strike, compiling 241. Lambert knocked up 60 in dashing fashion before being caught by Mackenzie off Massey. The Old Boys player hit eight boundaries. McGxrr batted i igntly. putting on 36, including four boundaries before being sent back by a good ball from Leys. Wirr Baker’s 35 was also an enterprising knock, including four boundaries.
