MAORI KILLED
TROLLY COLLIDES WITH ENGINE Per Press Association. TE KUITI, September 22. This morning a motor trolley on Ellis and Burnand line, seven miles from Mangapehi, crashed into a locomotive drawing eight timber trucks on a sharp bend. Two occupants jumped clear before the collision, but an elderly Maori named Taroa Ringatanga received severe injuries to the chest and a broken thigh. He died a few hours afterwards. Others received minor injuries.
