Dear Fairiel, — You asked me what name I was going to call my lambs. The big one is called Billy, and the little one called Hetty. Fairiel, when Igo to feed the lambs the big one sucks my ear. Fairiel, I had my friend staying with me, and. I am very sorry'because she is going home. I miss my friend so much, because I have no brothers or sisters to play with. Fairiel, when my friend and I go to bed at night we tell each other stories that we have learnt at school. I must not say any more because it is too late. —Love from your elf, THELMA. Thelma Killip, Martinborough. • * • . Dear Fairiel, — 1 am so glad you let me join the Ring. We are having a bulb show on the 17th of this month. I hav9 twin brothers older than myself whose names are Jack and Willie. [Since I wrote to you last we have another pet lamb, so that makes the ninth. We have about a dozen little chicks out. We also have four cats, named Darky, Nigger, Peter and Racer. Nigger and Darky, with two other cats were ■ put in a, box and taken about twenty miles in a motor-car, and let go in a patch of scrub alongside the road. Darky came home again ten days afterwards, and Nigger the next day. Was that not wonderful? Well, dear Fairiel, I am vour fairy, MOLLIE.
