(The retail price* for the corresponding date last year are shown in parentheses):— New Zealand lamb. —Legs, 14d per lb (lSd to 19d); shoulders, 14d (17d to 18d) ; loins, 12d to 14d (18d); necks, 8d (10d); breasts, 6d (fid). LOCAL STOCK* SALES Dalgety and Co., Ltd.. Palmerston North, report having a fair yarding of sheep ana cattle at their Feilding sale on Friday, the 27th inst. For good quality hoggets there was fair competition, but medium and inferior lots were difficult to quit. Quotations: — Fat ewes, 28s: fat black-faced £1 fts 6d; woolly ewe hoggets. 23s Id; small ewe hoggets, lls 6d to 15s; very fair black-faced hoggets. 16s 6d; wether hoggets, 17s. 18s, 18s Id to 19s; fat cows, £7 17s 6d: light fat bullocks, £8 10s, .£3 12s £9 10s, £lO 10 s ; rough 2-year steers. .£3 ils.
