YORKSHIRE BEAT SUSSEX LANCASHIRE WIN AGAIN. Reuter's Telegram. LONDON, August 27. Kcssex, in the first innings against Notts at Leyton, made 354 (Freeman 133, Douglas 103), S. Staples taking four wickets for 90 runs, and in the second 151, Flint taking three for 4. Notts, ni the first innings, declared when four wickets had fallen for 595 (G. Gunn 86, Whysall 209, Carr 53, Payton not out 87, Lilley not out 86). Notts won by an innings and ninety runs. Sussex, in the first innings against Yorkshire, at Brighton, made 148, AVaddington taking six wickets for 49 runs, and in the second totalled 217 (Tate 67), Robinson taking four for 45. Yorkshire, in the first innings, scored 230 (Sutcliffe 94, Kilner 62), and «n the second lost two wickets for 139 (Sutcliffe not out 55). Yorkshire won bv eight wickets. Playing for Middlesex against Gloucestershire at Lord’s, Haig scored 100 not out, Allen took seven wickets for .30 runs, and Powell eight for 72. Middlesex won. CENTURY BY GEARY. Playing for Surrey against Leicestershire at the Oval, Ducat scored 235, and Shepherd in the first innings made 121, and in the second 101 not out, while Holmes took five wickets for 58 runs, and Fender six for 67. For Leicestershire Geary scored 100, and Sidwell 105. Surrey won. Playing for Worcestershire against Hampshire at Worcester, Foster, in tho first innings, scored 141, and in the second 106, and Jewell got 125, while Root took eight wickets for 46 runs. For Hampshire Bowell scored 132, and Mead 177 not out. The match was drawn. Playing for Lancashire against Northants. at Blackpool, E. Tyldesley scored 127, and Sibbles took five wickets for 39 runs, and Macdonald seven for 113 Lancashire won. Playing for H. G. Lcvcson Gower's Eleven against Glamorgan, Wyatt in 1 lie first innings, took five wickets for 56 runs, and in the second five for 85. The match was drawn.
