GANGER LOSES HIS LIFE Per Press Association. INVERCARGILL, August 29. Patrick Enright, railway ganger, was Boriously injured in a train smash on Saturday at Dipton. He left a trolley on the line whil he went into a shed to get some tools, accompanied by another man, who drew attention to the fact that a train was coming. Enright went out and attempted to pull the trolly off the line, but was struck by the train. He was carried along on the catcher, and his head struck the small post aide rails used in connection with the signals. Tho train quickly pulled up and the man was taken to Lumsden, where he received medical attention. It was found the skull was fractured, and he was remove*! to the Southland Hospital. His condition is serious.
