CATHOLIC PRIEST SHOT
PARTY ATTACKED BY BANDITS Australian and N.Z. Cable Assn. (Received August 29, 5.5 p.m.) PEKING, August 28. Bandits fatally shot a Catholic priest named Ruyffelaert, of the Suiyuan vicariate, while he* was travelling in Shansi. Tha Chinese accompanying him were killed, and Ruyffelaert was taken to a small town, where he died after receiving the last sacrament.
