VICTORIAN CIVIC ELECTION. Bv Telejira nh. Press Assn. — Copyright. MELBOURNE, August 28. The annual elections for all metropolitan and county municipalities, with tha exoeption of the Melbourne and Geelong city councils, resulted in the general defeat of Labour candidates, except at Footscray, where Labour gained two seats. The question of the amalgamation of Fitzroy with the city was settled by a small majority in favour of amalgamation.
