Drizzling rain fell during the fjr«t spell of the match between the Wellington colts and Marlborough to-day. making the ball somewhat heavy and elusive, but throughout the second snell the conditions were good. The Marlborough team included a large proportion of young players, and* though they lacked cohesion their dcadlv tackling upset Wellington's expectations.
