POOR PERFORMANCE IN NORWAY NOW HOMEWARD BOUND. OSLO, August 16. Randolph Rose struck a baa patch of form during his stay in Norway. He competed on Friday at the international meeting at Oslo, but was foro ed to give up during the 3000 metres race, bat later was successful in the 5000 metres event. On Sunday he was beaten at Bergen by Harper in the 500 metres race. Rose will not participate in further meetings in Norway, and is returning to New Zealand, via England, in m few days.
