EUCHARISTIC CONGRESS
AUSTRALIAN AND NEW ZEALAND DELEGATES RETURN ALL EXPECTATIONS EXCEEDED. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, August 16. The New Zealand and Australian delegates to the Eucharistic Congress, which was held at Chicago, returned by the Niagara from Vancouver, tonight. The party comprised Archbishop Mannix, of Melbourne, Archbishop Clune, of Perth, Bishop McCarthy, of Bendigo, Bshop Liston, of Auckland, and Monseigneur Ormond, of Auckland. Speaking of the congress, Archbishop Mannix said it exceeded all expectations, and proved that the Roman Catholic faith did not need reviving in the United States. At one meeting alone over 1,000,000 people attended. He expressed the hope that the congress to be held in Sydney in 1928 would be as successful.
