DISAPPEARED FROM HOME
A LYALL BAY RESIDENT LIGHT THROWNON MYSTERY. Light lias been thrown on the mystery surrounding the disappearance from his home on Lyall Bay Parade oil Sunday evening of Frank Milton Winter, proprietor of the Seaside Picture Theatre, by the discovery of his coat, which wrs picked up on the Miramar concrete wall. The missing man, it is understood, lias been in indifferent health for some considerable time. A search of tho article of clothing revealed a letter addressed to Mrs Winter, which bade her fond good-bye, and regretted that there was no other way in which her husband could rid himself of pain. Tho letter made it clear that Winter could continue in illhealth no longer, and the step he was taking would free him from pain. It is believed that one time the missing man was a semi-mental case, and had received treatment at Hunmer.
Sergeant W. Pender, to whom the facts of the case were communicated, assisted by the Miramar and Kilhirnie police, will drag Evans Bay in the vicinity of where the coat was found in an endeavour to clear up the mystery.
