EXEMPT FROM RATES
DISABLED SOLDIERS’ HOME. Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, August IG. Mt Justice Adams to-dav decided that the ftantterdale home for disabled soldiers is exempt from City Council rates, and that St. Anne's Guild must pay rates. His Honour held that the home was a hospital and that the guild was used in the main for moral and religious objects not for the relief of physical suffering.
