NEW ZEALAND ASSOCIATION DATES OF TOURNAMENTS. The monthly meeting of the council wus held at the office of the secretary, Mr G. O. Sutton, on the 13th instant, when there were present:—Messrs R. C. Kirk (chairman), J. B. Mac Ewan, W. E. A. Gill, A. D. S. Duncan, A. J. Abbott, and Captain Conway. The statement of finance showed a balance at the savings bank of .£3OO, and at the National Bank of X 358. The revenue account for the year ended July 3ftst, 1926, showed a surplus of .£ll4 6s 9d, making a total surplus of assets over liabilities of ,£370 Is 3d. The programme of the New Zealand championship meeting, submitted by the Miramar Golf Club, was approved, subject to eomo minor alterations, and will be printed and circulated to affiliated clubs forthwith. Dates approved of for tournaments to be held by affiliated clubs during the next two months are as under: —August 25th, 26th, and 27th, Greymouth (West Coast) championship; August 27th and 28th, Takapau; August 27th and 28th, Roxburgh; September Bth, 9th, and 12th, Manawatu; September 7th, Bth, 9tli, and 10th, Rotorua; September 14th, 15th, 16th, and 17th, Napier; September 21st, 22nd, 23rd, and 24th, Hamilton; October 7th, Bth, and 9th, Wanganui;. October 15th to 23rd, New Zealand championships, Miramar. It was decided that the location of the 1927 professionals' tournament will bo discussed with the members of the Professional Golfers' Association; when they are in Wellington for the championship tournament in October. Numerous applications for national handicaps were received, and will be dealt wtili at a special meeting; of the handicap committee.
