NOTICE OF SPECIAL ORDER. ■\TOTICE 18 HEREBY GIVEN that I’ at a Special Meeting of the Wellington City Council held on THURSDAY, July 29th, 1926, the following resolution was passed : WHEREAS by a poll of the ratepayers taken on the 15th day of September, 192<h the Wellington City Council was authorised and empowered, to raise under the provisions of the Local Bodies Loans Act, 1913, and its amendments the sum of Sixty-three thousand four hundred and twenty-five pounds (<£(33,425) for the following purposes:— Oriental Bay sea wall to Ballina Bay, Public Sanitary Conveniences, enclosure and building and plant for Corporation Yard, Basin Reserve, Pavilion and improvements to Reserves. AND WHEREAS the Council has raised the sum of Sixty-three thousand four hundred pounds (,£63.400) by way of Loan known as "The Wellington Citv General Improvements Loan, 1920,” AND WHEREAS the moneys so raised are found to bo insufficient to complete the said undertaking, and it is necessary to raise an additional sum of Six thousand pounds (,£6000) for the purpose of completing the undertaking. NOW THERE PORE the Wellington City Council in exercise of the powers vested in it by the Local Bodies Loans Act, 1913, and its Amendments and particularly by Section 18 of the said Local Bodies iLoan* Act, .1913, hereby resolves by way of special order as follows: 1. To borrow a further sum of Six thousand pounds (,£6000). 2. That a Special Loan of Six thousand pounds (<£6006) to be known as "The Wellington City General Improvements Loan, 1920, Purther Loan, 1926,” be raised by the Wellington City Council for the purpose of completing the said undertaking 3. That the interest on the said Loan, be at a rate not exceeding Pivo pounds twelve shillings and sixpence (.£5 12s 6d) per centum per annum, payable halfyearly during the currency of the said Loan, being a period not exceeding Thirty (30) years from the first day of June, 1926. 4. That a Sinking Fund of One pound (.£1) per centum per annum he established in connection with the said loan. 5. That the security for the interest, sinking fund and other charges and repayment of the said Loan be a special rate on the unimproved value of all rateable property in the City of Wellington so calculated as to yield the interest, sinking fund and other charges of the said Loan and 10 per cent additional on these amounts 6. That six (6) debentures each of One thousand pounds (jeiOO(I) and relative coupons in a form in conformity with the Local Bodies Loans Act, 1913, and its Amendments he executed, sealed and issued. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Resolution will be submitted for confirmation at an Ordinary Meeting of the Wellington City Council to be held on THURSDAY, the 9th September, 1926. at the Council Chamber, Town Hall, Cuba street, Wellington, at 7.30 p.m. Dated this 2nd day of August, 1926.
