SEARCH LED BY BLOODHOUND
After an all-night search, the dead body of Eric William Coope, aged 5, ■who lived at Middleton View, Oultbn, near Leeds, was found at 3 o’clock on a Saturday morning in the water in a disused quarry not far from his home. A bloodhound led the search party to the spot. The lad was missed soon after teatime on Friday, and villagers with lanterns took part in a search over the countryside for miles around, while motor-cyclists covered every road. Later it was learned that the hov had been seen near the quarry. Dragging operations were started in the deep water, and a bloodhound was put on the scent. It wont to the edge of the pond. This the police to continue dragging operations till the body was found.
