SCRUB BULLS
WHAT REGISTRATION WOULD YIELD. At the annual conference of the New Zealand Farmers’ Union last week a remit asking the Government to formulate some scheme for the elimination of scrub bulls was carried. It has been calculated by the Farmers’ Union that if a scheme such as in Operation in Western. Australia were brought into being in .New Zealand and all bulls were required to be registered at a fee of 10s the revenue obtained would amount to approximately £4OOO from pure-bred bulls, and £IO,OOO from crossbreds, making a total of £20,000, which would be available for herd improvement purposes.
