Dearest Everybody, liri i _ Si’* Vioon nnfKlncr tint klioen of Sfl&ll I
What a week if* been*—nothing but silver sheen ot snail trails l And, I tell you, after my seventeenth “terrifying: adventure” I began to feel quite jumpy! And the hairbreadth escapes you gave me I’ve decided a snail has more lives than a cat! Now, those prize-winners. Who do you suppose they are? Why, you saw that, very first thing, didn’t you? First—CLAUDIA BROWNE, aged 10, Lyall Bay. Second—JOAN URQUHART, aged 9, Eastbourne. THIRD—BRUCE MARRIS, aged 11, Kelburn. v And the “Very Nearlies” are-—Audrey K.aiwarra; Jean Ashworth, Christchurch; Bill Hutcheson, Lower Hutt; Anna Bennett, Northland; and Jean McQueen, Te Wera. Good people, every one. Congratulations from us all! . Yours, FAIRIEL.
